Solid Wood Shutter Options

Our solid wood shutters can be semi-customized by size to a wide variety of widths and lengths; and to mix louvers with raised panels.

STANDARD LOUVER: 1 1/8" true fixed louver spacing. Quality construction of Westrn Red Cedar as a ddecay-resistant wood that accepts stain or prime/paint. Available in many lengths and widths as reflected on the Exterior Wood Shutter Priicng spreadsheet.

HEAVY DUTY LOUVER: 1 3/8" true fixed louver spacing and with heavier thicker stiles and rails and slats. Is ideal when real stength is needed.  Wider top and bottom rails allows for up to 1 12" trim as needed.

RAISED PANEL SHUTTER: Available in either Standard Louver or Heavy Duty Louver sizing with raised panel insert fitted to mortise-and-tenon construction for durability and to allow the panel to expand and contract.

MID-RAIL PANEL DIVIDER: Required on any panel over 65" as reflected on Exterior Wood Shutter Pricing spreadsheet. Good for stength or style. Always centered or just above if odd length, but custom locations are also possible for an additional fee.

COMBINATION PANEL: Can have raised panel sections below a fixed louver upper section. Price all as a Raised Panel shutter.

WESTERN RED CEDAR:  Hand selected, naturally decay-resistant stays straight, is light weight, and nothing matches it for performance. Left unfinished the wood will silver and remain maintenance free.

BAHAMA SHUTTER: Bahama style shutters, louver or panel, hang from the top of the window and add a distinctive Caribbean feel allowing ventilation but controlling for sun and rain. Made in style of Heavy Duty Louver panels.  The center stile is an option for wide panels for added strength or style.

PRE-PRIMED OPTION: Highly recommended as highly cost effective and thorough. Makes them fully ready for top coat paint with no delay.  Crating fee required.

PRE-PAINTED OPTION: Also recommended as cost effective and thorough. Ready to hang right out of the crate. Crating fee required. Any national brand and color of exterior premium grade paint can be specified.
