Mounting Instructions
Shutters mounted directly to a wall surface MUST have at least a 1/2" shim placed between the shutter and the wall surface. This IS VITALLY IMPORTANT to allow the shutter to "breathe." Skipping this step will trap moisture in the shutter causing it to decay. Mount shutters using six screws placed at rail locations.
Cedar Shutters are manufactured to be hinged,
however
shutters may be mounted directly to the
surface of the
house and used only for aesthetic
purposes.

Steel Construction, plated before final flat black finish. Application of non-rattling spring requires a minimum space of 1 3/8" between wall and shutter.
Hinge for 1-1/8" Shutters: Ideal for Bahama Shutters. Hung flush with casing.

Hinges measure 4-3/16" vertical, 5" horizontal, 1" width. Two shutters require two pairs of hinges. Larger shutters may require additional hinges. Stamped steel.
ACME Lull & Porter Mortised Hinge:
1 set = 2 Right-handed hinges, 2 left-handed hinges, 2 sets of fasteners (enough hardware to do one window). No screws. Cast iron.
