Kitchen Cabinet Door Panel Removal For Glass Inserts
A kitchen cabinet door with a raised or flat panel insert can have the wood panel removed and the door frame modified to receive a glass pane insert to upgrade the kitchen look. We do that!

A common desire to "upgrade a kitchen look" is to convert a few raised panel or flat panel doors to use glass panel inserts.
It best accomplished modifying the existing doors rather than replacing them. The modification allows the same wood specie, grain, edge shapes, hinge locations, etc to all be saved.
The requirement is to cut away the backside of the door frame lumber stile and rails to allow removal of the center panel and eventual fitting of a new glass panel. Being, thorough, if we can touchup the stain on the raw wood we do that; and, provide the glass retainer clips to hold the glass.
We refer clients to their friendly glass shop or stain glass studio for their inserts. You can talk to them in advance assuming the glass requirement will end up about 4" narrower and shorter than your door....on average. Do not order your glass until the door is modified.
If the door is below kitdhen wall cabinet height the owner should consider safety glass for safety reasons. Available from your local glass experts.
In the last example above, we also shortened the doors for over the new microwave exhaust hood.
The typical cost is $150 to $300 per door with an average of $150 each, assuming two or more doors. Irregular non-square tops are what add cost.
Irregular top shapes or specialty touchup of the raw machined wood on the back side adds additional cost. We do not provide or fit the glass for irregular shapes but do provide the glass retainer tabs to hold it in place.

- Take photos from various angles. For example, from the left and from the right or from opposite side of table since light reflection "plays tricks".
UPS shipments are gladly received for such repairs. 2-4week turn around.
Use your friendly Brown or Kinko store to pack and ship.
